Measuring for curtains
We recommend that you measure using a steel tape for accuracy and that your tracks or poles have already been fitted.
Curtain Track – measure from end to end from above the track.
Remember to add extra for a track overlap.
Curtain Pole – measure the width of the pole excluding finials.
Curtain Track – measure from the top of the track so that the curtain will hide the track.
For floor length curtains measure to 1cm above the carpet.
For short curtains below the sill you should measure to your required length (typically 15cm below sill).
For short curtains inside the sill, such as for bay windows, you should measure to 1cm above the sill.
For Pinch Pleat, Double Pleat and Goblet headings you should measure from the underside of the decorative ring to allow for the pole to be seen above the curtains.
For Eyelet headings, you should measure from the top of the pole to the finished drop, then add 3 cm. We do not automatically add this.
Should you need any advice about measuring up, please don't hesitate to contact us.
As above for Pinch Pleat, Double Pleat and Goblet headings.
For eyelet heading measure from top of pole + 3cm. We do NOT automatically add this.
